Emma began her journey towards birth and bodywork by doing birth work with pregnant women in Northern Virginia (Manassas, Fairfax) in association with regional nurse-midwives running a clinic, and also with attending births primarily in Latin America including in Copan Ruinas and surrounding areas.
During this time she discovered the beauty and deep healing work of a lineage of Thai manual therapies, and began studying at the nearby Thai Institute of Virginia, studying bodywork and theory in classes and student clinics.
She studied Thai Medical elemental theory with the Naga Center of Oregon and has also studied Scraping or Gua Sha and thai abdominal massage.

Emma currently studies Biology and is a medical massage therapist at UIHC clinics.
